  17. This MAC.NAM file should only be used with NetWare 4.01 and NetWare for
  18. Macintosh 4.01.  This version should replace the MAC.NAM that ships with
  19. NetWare 4.01.

  29. SYMPTOM

  31.      The NetWare 4.01 file server abends with the following error when running
  32.      AppleTalk Filing Protocol (AFP) processes:
  33.  
  34.      MESSAGE
  35.  
  36.           LockDirectoryEntry called with entry already locked
  37.  
  38. CAUSE
  39.  
  40.      This abend occurs because the NetWare operating system does a directory
  41.      search and finds the Macintosh files.  When it searches the DOS
  42.      counterpart, it does not check whether the file is open.
  43.  
  44. SOLUTION
  45.  
  46.      Replace the MAC.NAM file that comes with NetWare 4.01 with the MAC.NAM
  47.      file included in NAM401.EXE.
